RIVETS

Rivets are fasteners for joining materials, especially where there is only access from one side.

It is a solid and resistant fastening element that guarantees a durable joint thanks to the deformation of the rivet body.

WHAT IS A RIVET?

BRALO offers a wide range of blind and structural rivets. The rivets consist of a mandrel and a body with a different head styles.

The types of rivets are innumerable, both in terms of the materials they are made of (aluminum, steel, stainless steel or copper) and the type of head.

HOW TO INSTALL RIVETS?

To set rivets, the mandrel is first inserted into the nosepiece of the riveting machine.

The other part of the rivet (the body) is then inserted into the application hole.

And when the pneumatic riveting machine is positioned perpendicularly, the machine trigger is pulled.

In this way, the riveting machine jaws pull the mandrel and make it pass through the inside of the body, thus filling the hole and shortening the rivet.

This deformation of the rivet achieves a solid and reliable joint.

At the end of the cycle, the tool is ready to set a new rivet.

If manual riveting machines are used, the riveting operation is performed by closing the machine levers.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF RIVETS?

Rivets are permanent and secure fasteners, resist vibrations. They resist vibrations and do not require tightening.

They allow the joining of elements when there is only access from one side (blind joint).

Get a perfect hole filling thanks to the pressure force and deformation of the body, and offer optimal shearing behavior while adapting to product variations.

Easy installation. No high specialization of the operator is required.

Riveting is a cheap and fast process, as it reduces the installation time, versus other alternatives.

The variety of rivets, head types, lacquers and coatings cover the needs of industrial customers whatever the materials, dimensions or requirements.

Different materials can be jointed together.

They do not require threaded holes for installation or a second element such as a nut.
