RIVETS
LOCKBOLTS

Lockbolts are fasteners designed for the most demanding applications, with the capacity to withstand high loads.

WHAT IS A RIVET LOCKBOLT?

The lockbolt is a knurled bolt with a head on the end, to which a second piece, a collar, is attached to provide additional strength and secure locking.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BRALOCK AND UNILOCK

The Bralock rivet has a fully grooved pin with multigrip behavior and the Unilock has a break point for a given thickness.

ADVANTAGES OFFERED BY THIS TYPE OF RIVETS

Lockbolts rivets have these advantages:

  • High tensile and shear strength.
  • Multi-thickness behavior (BRALOCK) single thickness (UNILOCK)
  • Solid and high quality joint, resistant to vibrations due to internal locking of the bolt.
  • They allow fast assembly of parts with large gaps.
  • Excellence and long durability.
  • It is necessary that the application has access from both sides.

APPLICATIONS

Lockbolts are used in car bodies, commercial vehicles, buildings, railroads, cabinets, fences, fences, air conditioning and refrigerated goods containers.

WHAT ARE THE PARTS OF THE RIVETS AND BOLTS?

The bolt has two parts, a threaded bolt and, on the other hand, a collar that can be either wide-headed or low-headed. It is a structural rivet as it provides high strength.
